We can’t run away with discrimination. All of us is a victim of it. Especially in this society that we are living in. We are put in a microscope wherein every move, every mistakes that we do will be judged.
Why do we discriminate? Knowing that it only generates hate. The feeling of being superior to someone is such a human nature.
As you can see in my previous entries, i usually tackle with the similar topic. It’s because i can highly relate to it. Though it hurts me more but this is the way i can express my angst with this kind of behavior.
I never said that i was perfect, that i did not do such things like this but it always comes into realization that feeling discriminated most of the time is such a tough task to swallow.
I’ll give you some instances and tell me what will you feel if this things will happen to you. This invitation is without any malice at all. Just being civil.
- You ask someone to hang out, the reply is yes! as long as you will pay for the bill.
- You ask someone to hang out, the reply is yes! as long as you bring this person with you or else.
Is that fair? You’re invitation will be entertained but with a condition? Can you find willingness and sincerity in that? Knowing that they don’t do that with other people.
For me this is a form of discrimination, You just favor other people, You treat people as no one. I know it’s bad to demand for something nor expect for something in return. But the point is give me a fair treatment or just say to me that you don’t like, instead of hearing so many alibis, conditions, excuses, etc. Don’t make me feel that i’m that stupid. I have feelings also.
People tends to take for granted those who gives effort just to be with them. We ask too much. As an individual i am not the selfish type, I know when to give and whom to give. But don’t force me to just give something. Let me be the one to initiate it.
I feel disappointed with this kind of people. I remember my girl cousin told me “Never go out with a lady who usually ask for something for free…” Now i fully understand why. It’s a total turn off.
Bottom line, if you really like to be with the company of a person, There’ll be No but’s and No If’s at all. Being insensitive most of the time completes the whole package.
